After over two long and horrific months of not being able to draw anything no matter how much I wanted to, its finally over! Christ. It was horrible. It was to the point where I would get so frustrated and angry that I wouldn't ever want to pick up a pencil or pen or brush again. I think my first assignment for my painting class kind of unlocked the inspiration. Even though the photo I had to paint was really detailed, painting it was really relaxing. I worked on it for several hours at a time, it was very casual, I didn't have to worry about erasing or making mistakes because I could just paint over them. It wound up looking awesome and got a lot of good feedback. I think that really made me feel better, it made me feel like I didn't fail at art, like being frustrated and repeatedly not being able to get things to look the way you want for weeks at a time was making me feel. I've come to the conclusion that painting is awesome, and I'll definitely be uploading my paintings from this class as soon as possible.
