My Unnamed Child

I am so excited I can't even adequately explain it in words at all, but I'm going to try.

My story is about ten years old now. I started this project never really knowing where I was going to take it, and I still don't, but at least the story behind it is coming together. At first this story of mine was going to be a comic, but I don't really draw comics anymore, so I have no idea what kind of form it's going to take in the end. Maybe written, maybe drawn, or both, if I'm incredibly lucky and can explain it all to people a little better, maybe even animation. I definitely think it deserves to be called more than just a story now, though. This is my project, my nameless child that's starting to take on a life of its own. The plotholes are even disappearing at an alarming rate!

I've always had problems explaining the basic premise to people, telling people what happens in an order that makes sense, using words that don't turn people off to it immediately. I've always gotten the impression from people that they assume I'm some crazy weeaboo trying to pitch my naruto/inu-yasha/twilight/hybrid to them. I want to tell people, from the very very bottom of my heart and soul that it is so much more than that (and I would never subject you all to something like that!). This project is me and without it I feel like I would be a hollow shell; that is how important it is to me and how seriously I take it.

Basic Summary:
For untold thousands of years, people from far away space have been involved in the matters of mankind. This story deals with the effects of this involvement throughout thousands of years of human history. A huge basis for the story is the idea that the many different religions and mythologies around the world were originally influenced by alien contact of some kind. Because these stories are thousands of years old and many of them are passed on verbally, and the fact that most ancient people didn't have the kind of understanding of the world that some people have today, much of the truth in these stories is lost.

Another idea that will really be focused on is that things aren't always strictly black and white. The concept of good and evil is never really concrete and the line between good and evil is almost always blurred. I want the story to leave you wondering who you should be rooting for. I want people to sometimes find themselves surprised at the characters they are siding with. Sometimes it's going to be very hard to pick out who is the antagonist and protagonist.

Obviously, it's going to have a lot of historical, religious, mytholigical, and even some contemporary references in it. The story is told in many different parts, through the eyes of many different people, and the time frame between each story can be as little as a few days, to as long as a thousand years. The period of time that I've been focusing the most on, so far, is between the year 2000 and 5000 more or less.

A Little More In Depth:
In the story, there are three main types of people. The Asura, The Djinn, and Humans.

The Asura:
The Asura are a race of people that come from at least one planet in the Pleiades Star Cluster. They are a very ancient race, and they are extremely knowledge hungry. One of their more noteworthy technological advances is the ability to travel back and forth into different dimensions. The Asura's main goal is to seek out all intelligent life in the universe and unify them; to not only learn from these newly discovered people, but to give them their knowledge as well. In the story, this expansive trait of the Asura is questioned. How far is too far? Is the Asura's quest for knowledge really that innocent?

Djinn:
In this story, in the particular location of Earth in space, there are two planets. They both exist in the same exact location in space, but on two different planes or dimensions. For now, this planet is called the Otherworld, but this is probably just temporary. On this other planet lives a race of people called the Djinn. In some places on both planets, the veil between both dimensions can be thin. This has resulted in a relationship where the Djinn have been considered ghosts or spirits by humans. When the Asura come to Earth they decide to use this relationship to their advantage, with it they can make contact with the Djinn, and with the help of the Djinn, humans. If the Asura can be seen as Gods to humans, it makes the humans much more easy to communicate with. The Djinn and the Asura form an alliance, which angers many Djinn who see the Asura as invaders and a threat to their way of life. With the alliance, both collaborated in the creation of a race of Djinn/Asuran hybrids who would serve as messengers between humans and the Asura & Djinn. These went on to be dubbed angels by humans. Some Djinn rebelled against the Asura, attacking them whenever there was an opportunity. These rebel Djinn worked very hard to reverse the Asura's relationship with humans, even going as far as possessing humans to do so. In return, some Asura, who were also not very partial to the alliance, taught humans how to summon and enslave Djinn. This ended the alliance, and the Djinn were united in declaring war on the Asura. After a long war, the Djinn defeated the Asura, and they were not seen on Earth again for thousands of years.

Humans:
I want to point out that the fact that the humans in the story have been so influenced by the Djinn, and especially the Asura, in no way implies that they are stupid. The cultures of the Djinn and the Asura on Earth are also changed very much, despite their attempts to resist outside influences after war breaks out. The ways that different cultures influence and shape eachother to create new ones is absolutely fascinating to me, so there is a lot of it in this story. The way that humans are influenced by the Asura and the Djinn can be mostly seen in religion and the way that religion has affected societies around the world. Most of the events that happen in human history, until the 2000-5000 a.d. period that is focused on the most, was solely the work of humans. Sometime between 2000-2100 the Asura return to Earth at full force. Human history from this point on is completely derailed.

**At this point forward some things start getting a little vague, this is the part of the story that I'm still working on the most**
Summary of Future Earth:
The Asura return to Earth, but this time with a much more important figure in the Asuran world, Agni, one of their seven great leaders. (The Asura have one leader for each of the seven brightest stars of the Pleiades Cluster.) When Agni arrives on Earth and the Otherworld with her fleet, she already has a plan made. They will try again to bring "knowledge and light" to the humans, but from an influence within society, not outside of it. The way human society is at this point, the reaction of people to aliens claiming to be Gods would be much worse and extremely hard to control. Agni selects one human that is genetically altered and returned to live their life. When this human dies, they will be reborn, their mind staying the same, but their body being an exact copy of Agni's. The Djinn find out that Agni is planning something like this and set out to find this "incarnate" and destroy it.

At this point in time, as it is during much of history, the humans are at war with eachother. As tensions mount, the Djinn push the human war over the edge in attempt to kill the one person that might be Agni's incarnate. In the war explosive weapons are used, along with bioweapons, one in particular kills very quickly. The city where Agni's incarnate lives is attacked and practically destroyed. The Djinn believe that they succeeded in killing the incarnate, and go about their business.

The Djinn didn't realize at first how much damage they wound up doing. The bioweapon quickly mutates and the outbreak becomes uncontrollable. Eventually a huge portion of the population on Earth is killed. The only hope for overcoming this virus winds up being genetic engineering. The few people that have a resistance have their unborn children altered to make them 100% resistant. It works, and this technology is hailed as the savior of mankind. After a few hundred years the population builds itself back up. Genetic engineering at this point is fairly normal among most people. Some people, however, have concerns about it, and some completely have a problem with it. Some believe that, it may have saved people, but it was also the cause of the disease in the first place. Because of this, there are many laws in place to keep it from getting out of hand.

***From this point on, things get pretty complicated. There is a lot going on that I kind of skip, so you don't wind up completely killing yourself over this already HUGE TEXT WALL. It's still A LOT though.***

Eventually, people with different viewpoints about engineering form completely different belief systems, countries, etc. The Oriods, Hesires, and the Namires. The Oriods are against it completely, the Hesires are completely for it, and the Namires are pretty indifferent, and have their own beliefs that don't have anything to do with engineering. Many Hesire countries and kingdoms go on to have complete populations of genetically altered people, in many cases very extreme physical alterations. Even though it is against all Hesire law, one kingdom in particular, Amalthea, manages to create a completely new species of human. This new being, the only successful attempt, is treated as the figurehead of Amalthea, she IS Amalthea. They dub her Eve, the first "real" Hesire. To the Amaltheans, she is meant to be the mother of their new race. She is revered as their goddess and queen, yet is a slave whos genetic material is harvested to make more of her species. The other Hesire kingdoms, feeling extremely threatened, try to top Amalthea's creation, disregarding their own laws, and going to extremes in their engineering. Most of the higher up's in these kingdoms wind up not really being human anymore. The Oriod kingdoms are completely outraged and declare war on all Hesire kingdoms, but especially Amalthea.

After a while, Eve rebels against the people who created her. She winds up slaughtering all of the leaders of her kingdom, and anyone who decides to remain human. The other kingdoms continue to attempt to show superiority over the Amaltheans, and flex their military's muscles at them, but Amalthea continues to gain power. As Amalthea gains power, violence against humans increases. Most practically stampede into cities to become altered. Eve leads a campaign against the Oriods, and the Amalthean army completely crushes them, pushing them to the north where they become exiled. Humans anywhere in this new empire are hunted to near extinction. It is at this point that the Asura finally decide to intervene and do something.

In the spirit of the original "angels" who were mostly wiped out in the war between the Djinn and the Asura, Agni decides to create more. She seeks out the few remaining original angels to be a part of this new group. She sends them to Earth to try to help end the war and spread the word of the Asura. Eventually Eve's kingdom winds up being defeated by the overthrown Hesire kingdoms who were united by the angels. The remnants of Eve's family are scattered and banished. In the wake of the Amalthean Empire, a huge portion of Earth is no longer human. Because of the arrival of the angels, a new religion is formed and practiced by all of the Hesire kingdoms. Eventually it spreads even farther. At this point, Earth barely resembles the world that we're used to.

The Incarnate's Return:
Years after the war, an angel is exiled to earth for the murder of one of his siblings. Not allowed to return to his home in the Otherworld, he wanders aimlessly around Namire (once North and South America). One day as he walks through a forest, he arrives at some small falls. He sits there for a while to rest, but as he stands and gets ready to leave, his feels dizzy and passes out, slipping on the rocks and hitting his head. He dreams of very vague, but bizarre images, and has an intense feeling of terror and wanting to escape overcome him. He wakes up, feeling frantic and like he has to find something. He hears a heartbeat and senses suffering. He climbs down into a space between two rocks, down to the soft dirt below. With only a sliver of light shining down, he starts frantically digging into the dirt with his hands. Under the dirt, pale blue skin caked in dirt is exposed, then a body, a hand, a face. Before him lies a living woman, unearthly and strange, yet more beautiful than anything he's ever seen. End scene.

And the rest is history. <3 I'll post the rest later, when I feel more comfortable with it. Please PLEASE tell me what you think, ask me questions. I love talking about it, and I would LOVE to hear any advice or ideas, let me know if anything seems weird or if you think I should fix anything.

It sounds FASCINATING! =D It's very creative, and I certainly wouldn't imagine that this is someone's weeaboo creation. You should really start writing this out - just create a general story outline, even just in bullet point format, and then start writing. I'd definitely read it!

Awesome! Is the the story with Vince? Or is this something completely new? I like the fact that you have planets and stuff like that(feels more expansive then just one fantasy world).
I look forward to reading more.

Read through it again. It's "thinking outside the box"....or at least to me it is, and is in no way a narutard/inuyashate/or twidump sounding at all.
